[EVENT] New Year's event
We have prepared a variety of events for our guests from December 31st to January 3rd.
Learn about the ancient Japanese New Year culture and spend an irreplaceable time with your family.
■ Free New Year's Eve soba noodles
In Japan, there is a culture of eating soba noodles on New Year's Eve. The reason for this is said to be that people have preferred to eat soba noodles, which are easier to break than other noodles, as it symbolizes "cutting off the misfortunes of the year."
■ Bingo Tournament
We will be holding a bingo tournament where you can win luxurious prizes even before the countdown begins!
All guests staying on December 31st are welcome to participate.
■Countdown Fireworks
Cheers to the New Year while watching the spectacular fireworks!

■ Mochi throwing & mochi pounding
The origin of the mochi-throwing ceremony is said to have originated from the "Sanpei-no-gi" ritual, in which mochi and coins are scattered at the "topping-out ceremony" of a building to ward off misfortune. Mochi is also considered a sacred food to welcome the New Year deity, and mochi-pounding is considered an auspicious event to pray for the health and prosperity of the family.

■Kagami-biraki
The round shape of the lid of a sake barrel is likened to a mirror, which symbolizes harmony, and the "Kagami-biraki" ceremony is said to be an auspicious event that "opens" and unfolds at the end. It has been held since ancient times to pray for health and happiness in the new year.

■First Sunrise POWER YOGA
We will be holding a yoga session to revitalize the mind and body while watching the first sunrise of 2026.
Why not balance your mind and body on the first day of the new year while feeling the energy of the first sunrise?

■ Pottery experience workshop by ART RELAY PROJECT
We will be holding a pottery workshop with an instructor from Sogama, a kiln in Arita Town, Saga Prefecture, well known for its Arita ware.
This workshop allows you to experience the kneading technique, which is rare even in Arita ware. You will combine clay like a puzzle to create your favorite design.

■ Bonfire
A peaceful time spent watching the flickering flames and crackling firewood under the clear winter sky.
We will be selling snacks such as hot soup and bonfire roasted marshmallow s'mores.

■ Shikanoumi Shrine New Year's visit
Why not go to Shigaumi Shrine, about a 15-minute drive from THE LUIGANS, for your first visit of the year?
A free shuttle bus will be operating between the hotel and Shigaumi Shrine during this period.
Shikanoumi Shrine is a historic shrine known as the "Head Shrine of the Sea Gods." The main deities are the Watatsumi Sanjin (Sokotsuwatatsumi, Nakatsuwatatsumi, and Omotewatatsumi), gods born from the purification ritual of Izanagi. Worshipped since ancient times as the guardian deities of maritime traffic, the shrine is enshrined on a small hill overlooking the Genkai Sea. It is said that the deities bestow divine blessings upon the shrine include protection at sea, traffic safety, regeneration and restoration, exorcism of disasters, recovery from illness, good health and longevity, safety for the home, and protection of children.

■Live calligraphy performance & New Year's calligraphy
A live performance by calligraphy instructor Gyokusui will be held for one day only on January 1st.
*The calligraphy experience will be held until the 3rd.
Enjoy calligraphy, one of Japan's most representative art forms, to your heart's content.

*The New Year's calligraphy live performance will be held on January 1st from 10:00am.

We also have toys and an experience space for children to play with.
We will be increasing the number of shuttle buses between INN THE PARK and the hotel so that guests staying at the glamping facility "INN THE PARK Fukuoka," which opened in June 2025, can also access the hotel.
The ride is free and is on a first-come, first-served basis. Please feel free to use it.
